I’ve spent the past week or so migrating the old family tree from Thornborough-family.com over to its new home here on Thornborough.net. I’ve not only shifted the family tree but I have also shifted the associated media. The latter shift has not gone as well as the former. While all the media assets have moved over they’re not showing in the tree itself. I can fix this but it will take time.
Better news though, I coincidentally got a report from one of the genealogical websites I subscribe to warning me of inconsistencies in my family tree. This is boon for me and timely given I have created a new tree on this website.
The consistency checker identified 173 inconsistencies. They’re things like death dates occurring before birth dates or children being born before their parents. This type of thing happens and is usually due to some sort of data entry/mistyping error. With this report, I can undertake a decent quality assurance exercise.
The updated family tree software provides new opportunities to improve the tree. It has improved functionality and other useful enhancements.
I expect all of this adds up to future improvements in the family tree.
