In addition to creating a new site for our family domain, I also took the opportunity to upgrade the software that powers our family tree.
My earlier version used on Thornborough-family.com worked well but hadn’t been updated for a while. This meant I missed out on several new features and security updates. Mindful of this, I splashed out and completely rebuilt the family tree using the very latest version of the software.
For anyone interested, I am using Darren Lythgoes’ excellent software The Next Generation of Genealogy Site Building. For me, this really is the state-of-the-art genealogical software.
